Are you ready for this weekend's run?

This is an interesting week as you have options. If you are sticking with the full marathon training you have the longest run of the season this weekend. As I have mentioned in the videos you should only do the longest run if you are doing a virtual half. The rest of us will move into a maintenance mode and have is do between 11 and 18 miles. Pick wisely, my friends.

Have a great run and see you soon.

 Group Details

We are in Week 16, so plan your runs based on the training schedules.  We are on way to our LONGEST run in just under 2 weeks already so we’re on the way back up.   Notables for each group are:

  • R/W (ALL)  – Still at 1/9 or 1/14 Interval.  Thurs is at to 80/90min MLR.  Saturday is up to 140/210.
  • Intermediate Half – No change mid-week.  Thursdays MLR is still 7mi MLR. Saturday is UP to 12-13mi
  • Intermediate Full – No change mid-week.  Thursday MLR is still 8mi.  Saturday up to 18-21mi.
  • PR Chasers Full – Specific Endurance runs are keeping you strong over distance.  MLR is 12 miles on Thursday and hitting a 20 miler on Saturday for  23 miles.

Upcoming Group Runs & Clinics

Below are the run maps and the group run locations.  At the very bottom of this email are detailed instructions on the meeting locations.

Saturday @ Mission Bay Loops OR The San Diego Junket “LONG” Run

As you have heard in the last few videos the Rock N Roll Marathon has been postponed and a new date has not been set so we are recommending that we keep your stamina up and run between 12 to 18 miles until we know the new date.

If you are running a virtual full marathon in the comming weeks you have one big run this weekend. And it's fairly simple. . . It’s just a big-ass, long run!  It covers Crown Point, Ocean Beach, Pt. Loma, Downtown, Old Town and Mission Bay and it based on an old San Diego favorite “Tour of San Diego” - named for obvious reasons. The transition from Ocean Beach to Pt. Loma is up and over a road called “Hill Street”  :) The extended 22.5 mi option goes further into downtown, then UP A St andUP into Balboa Park for additional mileage and hills.

      As Always

Please let us know if you have questions.

      See ya out there!
