    As I mentioned at our group run on Saturday we had to make some modifications to this weekend’s run as the train schedule has been scaled back and they do not offer a train that will fork for us. That being said we will modify the run and do an out and back from Solana Beach’s Fletcher Cove. I know out n back runs are note the most fun but if you are going to do one this one you want to be doing. I feel it’s a nice accommodations given the situation.

    But first we will be meeting at the county admin building for a run along the harbor. Done forget your headlamp.  

    It’s Getting Dark (Bring a Headlamp)

    Who noticed how dark it was on last week’s run? Most of the remaining runs will be on pathways that have street lights but there is often dark spots along the way. If you have one I would encourage you to start bring your headlamp with you on these Tuesday runs. Your safety is important and bringing a headlamp with you is the best way to prevent a trip and fall on these runs. Be Safe out there.

    Shirt Delay

    I heard from the printer last week that there are some issue sourcing the blank shirt for this season, they have assured me we will have them in a few more week but they are taking longer than planned. I am keeping an eye on this and will let you know if anything changes. I should have a new delivery date sometime this week.

    THIS WEEK’S TRAINING

    We are back after it with another big run this weekend.  

    • Run/Walkers (Half) – (2/3 or 2/8) Long run will be UP to 90min
    • Run/Walkers (Full) – (2/3 or 2/8) Long run will be UP to 190min
    • Intermediate HALF – Long run will be UP to 9 mi.
    • PR Chasers HALF – Long run will be UP to 14 mi
    • Intermediate FULL –  Long run will be UP to 16 mi.
    • PR Chasers FULL­­­­ –  Long run will be UP to 21 M mi.

      Below are the run maps and the group run locations.  At the very bottom of this post are detailed instructions on the meeting locations.

      Tuesday @ 6:15pm - County Admin Building / Water Front Park

      SATURDAY @ 7:15AM - Fletcher Cove

      We are going to be modifying our original train run to an out and back run leaving from Fletcher Cove. The area is great for doing long runs so figured we would stick with it.

      • 18 miles = Pass station, turnaround at Via De La Valle
      • 21 miles = Pass station, turnaround at Sea Grove Park (there's water/restroom down there too)

        Detailed Meeting Locations

        This is where we will meet on Tuesday and/or Saturday. Don’t get lost :)

        Fletcher Cove Beach (Solana Beach)

        Fletcher Cove Beach - Solana Beach: 111 S Sierra Ave, Solana Beach, CA 92075 

        There is plenty of parking, in the neighborhood, and you can walk over to the park. Keep an eye on street signs as some of the parking on the 101 has some regulations and meters. 

        County Admin Building @ Waterfront Park

        1675 N Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101 -  (Address is not exact)

        We will be meeting at the fountain on the west side of the county admin building. Street parking is free after 6 pm so park wherever you can find a spot. There is generally parking around on both N Harbor Drive and Pacific Coast Highway. There is a set of restrooms and water fountains in this area too. 1675 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 921
